June 21, 2012
The NC Senate suspended the rules yesterday in order to repeal the NC Racial Justice Act.
The repeal bill has been sent to NC Gov. Bev Perdue for her consideration.
If you live in North Carolina, please contact Gov. Perdue right now, urging her to veto Senate Bill 416, http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/1576/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=10908.
You will also be prompted to send a message to your senator, responding to his or her vote.
As we emphasized yesterday, please continue to call the following representatives and express your dismay that they voted to repeal the Racial Justice Act. Their support is imperative if Gov. Perdue vetoes Senate Bill 416.
