| Urgent Action for NC Racial Justice Act |

June 26, 2012 It's come down to this: Five of the Democrats in the NC House of Representatives sided with those who want to gut the NC Racial Justice Act. Repealing the Racial Justice Act will return North Carolina to the days of no checks on all-white juries, no checks on prosecutors wearing noose lapel pins in the courtroom, and no checks on racial epithets in jury rooms. Now the bill that repeals the Racial Justice Act sits on NC Gov. Bev Perdue's desk. But even if she vetoes, the bill needs more votes in support of her veto. Click here to send a message to Reps. Brisson, Crawford, Hill, Owens, and Spear, http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/1576/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=10979. Have an extra minute? Follow up with a call to each of these three representatives. Ask them to return to the people who put them in office and support a VETO of Senate Bill 416, the bill that REPEALS the Racial Justice Act.
